ALNNJ 2005 Scholarship Awards
The 2005 ALNNJ Scholarship Awards dinner
was held on September 15th at Lambert Castle in Paterson, NJ. Excerpt of speech given at Awards Ceremony:
On behalf of the scholarship committee I would like to thank everyone involved in making this year's scholarship program a success. I especially would like to thank the Board of Trustees; Michael Busch for his administrative assistance; Scott Lurie and Bill Severino who served with me on the jury; and most importantly I thank each and every one of you for your efforts in making the scholarship awards program more successful each year.
This year the scholarship committee has unanimously selected two scholarship award recipients. Both Robert LuBuono and Renata Mayhew are deserving of these scholarships and will benefit greatly from the honor and financial assistance from these awards while concluding their undergraduate architecture studies at accredited universities. Both look forward to becoming licensed architects and practicing architecture in the state of New Jersey.

Architects League Scholastic Achievement Award
The Architects League Scholastic Achievement Award is given to undergraduate students for scholastic excellence in architectural design. Renata Mayhew is entering her second year at NJIT. Renata plans to graduate in 2009 and has earned a GPA of 3.8. Her watercolor renderings are one example of her many creative skills in communicating Architecture effectively. She is capable of building three dimensional computer models and is not afraid to experiment with different mediums.

“ Although Renata is a first year student she has already become a valuable member of this team by field measuring existing conditions for residential house additions and light commercial work. She is already assembling construction drawings for permits and meeting clients without my assistance. Even with Renata's work schedule subject to her NJIT classes, she has become an asset to my practice in a relatively short time."
