Award Amounts:
The total awards money is $6,000 maximum. All awards are given at the committee's discretion and amounts can vary. A check is mailed to the winner's school. Therefore, only returning students of accredited Architecture Schools are eligible. Not sure your architecture school is accredited? Go to NAAB.org to find out.
Applicants must reside in one the following New Jersey areas:
AIA-NJ Section Map
Because we are a section of the AIA, we can only give awards to those students whose permanent addresses is in one of the following counties or towns:
Bergen County, Hudson County, Passaic County, Sussex County, and parts of Essex and Morris Counties. Essex County - only Nutley and Belleville.
Morris County - only Lincoln Park, Hibernia, Butler, Riverdale, Fayson Lakes, Milton, Pequannock, Pompton Plains, Towaco, Holland, Brook Valley, Jacksonville, Powerville, Meriden, Lake Telemarck, Taylor Town, Beach Glen, Middletown, Rockaway Valley, Green Pond, New Russia, Marcella, Mount Hope, Pequannock Township, Smoke Rise, White Meadow Lake, and Woodstock.
We sincerely apologize to those students who do not permanently reside in our section's territory and are not eligible. However, if you live outside of these areas and are a New Jersey resident and would like to apply for other AIA scholarships please go to AIA-NJ.org for more information. Note: This is an AIA-NJ scholarship program, which is separate from the ALNNJ. All entries must comply with AIA-NJ's requirements.
Clarence Tabor Memorial Scholarship Award
Given to undergraduate students entering their fifth and final year of architecture, and is based on scholastic excellence, attitude toward the profession, probable success as an architect, and need for financial assistance.
Albert O. Halse Memorial Award
Given to undergraduate students for excellence in architectural delineation and/or architectural models.
Architects League Scholastic Achievement Award
Given to undergraduate & graduate students for scholastic excellence in architectural design.
